my favourite gig at the brudenell ever!

crowd surfing on a lilo, a banana shaker and confetti. i knew this gig would be fun and i wasn't disappointed! more pics here.

it was also was part of my birthday celebrations, which involved us getting on stage (after the gig). . .

all the bands at this gig played down in the crowd not up on the stage.

manchester orchestra / leeds festival
i didn't take many photos of bands at leeds festival this year. maybe it's cos i didn't see as many as usual. altho i did see quite a few - in fact, more on the main stage than usual (interpol, arcade fire, the shins, smashin pumpkins, gorgol bordello). my favourite smaller band that i saw on the carling stage was manchester orchestra from atlanta, georgia.

architecture in helsinki
i saw them this week in leeds and they made me happy. it was hot. and it was gus's birthday - these two facts led to him almost collapsing, with numerous on-stage intervals taking place. twas fun.
